An international company, headquartered inGermany, but with operations in many countries around the globe, is looking for a Catering Specialist to join a new division in theirDubaibased operation. This is a permanent / staff position that will be based inDubai, with around 20% of time being spent traveling to sites in the region. The company involved operates in 2 major areas: offering full CAMP solutions to the Military and Oil and Gas sectors; and Service Facilities for municipalities. The Catering Specialist provides technical support and detailed financial input to develop catering concepts of operations for client solutions and bids prepared in response to Requests for Proposals. The focus is on creating unique catering concepts tailored to the client's requirements, for commercial and military clients in remote areas of the world. Services provided range from construction, catering and fuels to full O&M and life-support services. Projects vary in size from simple provision of past performance to submissions of hundreds of pages, requiring a great deal of attention to detail and precision. The Catering Specialist prepares full menu cycles for various nationalities, including special meals and events, creates the layouts for kitchen and dining facilities. He/She develops meal registration systems, food storage concepts and stock management systems for remote camps. In addition, he develops: * Equipment lists * Staffing plans and organization charts * Shift rosters and rotations * Catering-specific training plans The Catering Specialist develops detailed mobilization plans and approaches for new projects. He/She develops detailed SOPs for all aspects of the catering services. He/She creates plans for customer service and contract/project management systems and solutions. He/She is responsible for complete cost planning and estimating for all catering services, kitchens, DFACs, equipment, personnel, training, uniforms, PPE, etc. He/She creates assessment plans and templates and develops the assessment team structure. He/She provides leadership on food safety, health and safety, HACCP, ISO 9001 principles and systems, and international standards.
